a while back i volunteered for the beauty night society {https://www.facebook.com/BeautyNightSociety}
and was fortunate enough to take photographs of the women who received a night of pampering and makeovers.
it was such a rewarding experience meeting all the of lovely ladies, hearing their stories, seeing them smile & best of all, feel great about themselves.
the best part was giving each of them photos from their session & seeing their faces light up.
for some of them it was the first time they had really ever “seen” themselves in that way.
beauty night society, founded by the amazing caroline macgillivray, is an award winning charity that builds
self-esteem and changes lives for women living in poverty. the program focuses on wellness, life skills development & makeovers.

beauty night society has been on-going for 12+ years and has given over 26,000 makeovers, thanks to the help of over 500 volunteers. wow!
