About Jennifer

I'm a wedding photographer based on British Columbia's beautiful Sunshine Coast. I live a short ferry ride from Vancouver in Gibsons with my partner Brian, two adorable cats, and a fluffy Husky.

I travel to wherever work takes me, including Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Okanagan Valley, across Canada, and to destinations all over the world.

I'm a natural light photographer. I'm faithful to each moment, using only the ambient light and the contrast that natural shadows provide. Capturing the original essence of the environment is as important to my work as the people who appear within it.

Working in this way gives me the freedom to be spontaneous in each new moment, inspiring me to craft gorgeous, elegant, moody and memorable images.

I arrive at each wedding with nothing but a calm, friendly energy and a couple of fantastic cameras. I love helping clients forget about any worries they might have about being in a "photo shoot" so that we can just laugh and have fun together, which allows me to capture their story in a relaxed, and effortless way.

My love for photography began eleven years ago after being invited to work as a photojournalist for a non-profit animal advocacy group. I was lucky enough to travel to Peru, Belize, Africa, Guyana, and some First Nations communities to help the animals who were in need of medical attention.

Outside of work, I'm a passionate vegan who is always exploring new plant-based recipes and other creative ways to reduce my environmental impact on the world we share.

That's a bit about me. Now, tell me about yourself—I can't wait to hear about your special day! I look forward to creating some dreamy fine art images for you.

My schedule fills up quite quickly, so please contact me as early as possible so I can save your date.

Thanks for visiting my work!
