Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I begin the booking process?

Once we confirm my availability on your wedding date, the next step is to figure out how many hours of coverage you'll be needing. I’ll then send you a contract along with the deposit amount that I require to secure your booking.

If you happen to live on the Sunshine Coast I’d love to meet you for a tea! If you live in Vancouver, or elsewhere, I’d be happy to have a Skype call to say hello and to answer any other questions you might have.

Q. What are you prices?

Once I receive your initial inquiry, I’ll send over a detailed list of my pricing and packages. I'm also more than happy to create a custom package based on your vision for the day.

Q. How many edited photos will we receive?

I generally give approximately 85-100 finished photos per hour of coverage.

Q. How do we receive our finished photos?

I’ll send you an online photo gallery that includes all of the best high-resolution edited digital images. This beautiful gallery enables you to download, print, and share the images with family and friends, and it also stays online for ten years so that your photos are safe and sound.

Q. When can we expect to receive the finished photos?

The process generally takes between 8-12 weeks, however I do send a preview gallery 1-2 weeks after your wedding day that includes 15-20 of the day’s most memorable moments.

Q. Do you offer wedding albums?

Yes! A complimentary hardcover linen wrapped photo album is included in all packages.

Q. I notice that a complimentary Engagement Session is included in your wedding packages. What can we expect?

I love offering an engagement session to my couples because it’s a great way to get to know each other and to feel more comfortable before the big day. The most common thing I hear after a session is how much fun and easy it was!

Q. What is your approach to photographing a wedding?

I have a very candid approach. I love capturing natural interactions and emotions, however if needed I’ll provide some direction.

Q. How would you describe the style of your photos?

I have a storytelling approach, which means that I love capturing the authenticity of unposed moments. However, I also like to be have fun with my couples in creating some artsy shots that show off the beauty of the day.

Q. Do you travel for weddings?

I sure do! Let’s talk.

Q. I noticed that you’re now offering cinematic wedding films. Is that the same thing as hiring a wedding videographer?

The main product of our wedding films is a 3-5 minute cinematic edit that beautifully captures the essence of the entire day. These highlight films are the perfect length to share with friends and family.

We also offer feature-length, documentary-styled films that include more complete coverage.

All cinematography and post-production film editing is done by my partner, Brian Thompson, who has many years of creative experience in the entertainment industry.

Q. Do you have insurance?

Yes, my gear is fully ensured and I am covered for $2,000,000 commercial general liability.
